UK Arts Funding - Grants For Charity & Community Arts Projects

Arts Council England	UK Funding Finder - Arts Council grants that are open.
Arts Council England - Other Funding Sources	UK Funding Finder - other sources of funding for the arts, including other Arts Councils, education and non-UK funding.
Barbara Whatmore Charitable Trust	The Trust funds cultural and heritage preservation projects in the UK (especially East Anglia). Main areas include: -schemes or bursaries for classical music education to enable young career musicians to attend courses, music groups or orchestras; -conservation and crafts training, via bursaries to recognized higher educational teaching organisations. Spend £100k.
D'Oyly Carte Charitable Trust	Core Funding - arts, medical welfare and the environment, from £500 to £5k, usually 1 year, occasionally up to three years, core costs or projects.
Esmee Fairbairn Foundation	Core Funding – long-term core funding. Arts, children and young people, environment and social change, over 1 to 5 years.
Golsoncott Foundation	The arts generally and in particular the fine arts and music. Over £1m donated to the arts in the last 20 years. Supporting Music, Ballet, Theatre, Museums, Literature, the Fine Arts and Crafts, and Scholarship. Delivering audiences to the arts, and the arts to new audiences.
Odin Charitable Trust	Preference to charities which further the arts; care for the disabled and disadvantaged, supporting hospices, the homeless, prisoner’s families, refugees, gypsies and ‘tribal groups’. Typically small organisations and those that find it difficult to attract funding. Grants usually range from £1,000 to £5,000, one-off or up to 3 years.
Paul Hamlyn Foundation - Arts	Core Funding - test, implement and develop ambitious plans to widen access to and deepen participation in the arts. Max value £400k.
Victoria Wood Foundation	All aspects of the arts, particularly around London and the North of England.

Performing Arts Funding - Theatre, Dance And Visual Arts

Foyle Foundation Main Grants Scheme	Core Funding - UK registered charities to support the performing or visual arts and for projects that facilitate the acquisition of knowledge and learning. Will consider core funding but generally only from smaller organisations or from those not receiving recurrent revenue funding from the Arts Council or local authorities.
Leche Trust	Performing arts and conservation. Aim to achieve a broad balance between music, theatre and dance projects. Conservation of historic objects, collections and features of buildings and designed landscapes which are pre-Victorian in date, i.e. pre-1830s, including churches. Will consider offering grants up to £5,000.
Sick! Productions Limited	Live Art, experimental performance and visual art. Children/young people, older people, people with disabilities, people of a particular ethnic or racial origin.
UK Theatres Small Grants Scheme	Up to £5,000 to theatres across the UK run by charities and not-for-profit groups that can clearly demonstrate the value capital improvements to their theatres would make to their work in local communities.

Grant Funding For Music Charities & Community Groups

Boost Drinks	Grants to support a range of community groups, including CICs, community sports clubs, community action groups, youth work, music groups and food banks to get involved and nominate themselves. Amounts £1000 to £10000. Applications will be shortlisted three times throughout the year in May, July and September 2021.
Chapman Charitable Trust	Promote physical and mental wellbeing, conserve our natural environment, and increase the accessibility of the arts. Most grants £1000 or £2000. Apr 21. Funds registered UK national charities. Will also fund local charities, in North Wales and SE England.
Christine Brown Trust for Young Musicians	Financial support to exceptionally talented young musicians under 19 years of age, who are UK residents and who are experiencing financial hardship.
Michael Tippett Musical Foundation	Group music-making in the UK, especially involving young people in projects incorporating composition and creative ideas. Grants are likely to be between £500 and £4,000, with the average grant in the region of £2,000.
Music For All Community Project Funding	Up to £2k for UK projects that bring music to their communities, but need assistance to develop truly sustainable music programmes. Will fund individuals. Up to £2k. Deadlines 1 Feb, 14 May and 1 Nov.

Small Grants For Community Group Arts Projects

Belgae Trust	IT, health, education, arts and the environment. Smaller charities and projects with a value of less than £100,000 will be prioritised. Charities from throughout UK and abroad will be considered but local charities (Hampshire) will be given priority. Up to £5k.
Backstage Trust	Funding for feasibility studies in England and Wales for capital projects, fundraising and developing case for support, professional development of small to medium arts organisations.
Elephant Trust	To make it possible for artists and those presenting their work to undertake and complete projects when frustrated by lack of funds. It is committed to helping artists and art institutions/galleries that depart from the routine and signal new, distinct and imaginative sets of possibilities. Priority is given to artists in the fine arts and small organisations. Usually up to £2k, but some up to £5k.
Philip Bates Trust -	Individuals, voluntary and community organisations that develop artistic interests in young people, particularly the West Midlands. Trustees gives priority to organisations which have charitable status or which are not-for-profit bodies. Up to £500.

Community Arts Grant Funding - Young People

Catherine Cookson Charitable Trust	A wide range of activities including education and training, environment and conservation, arts and culture as well as general charitable purposes. Has previously funded animal welfare. In particular the Trust supports work with young or disadvantaged people.
Casey Trust	UK registered charities, with a focus exclusively on children worldwide, with a cut-off age of 18. Start-up projects or identifiable new initiatives, rather than continuing programmes, particularly children's projects connected with the Arts, Mental Health, also child Refugees in the UK and, as we are Camden based, more inner-London based projects. Applications by post only.
Ragdoll Foundation	UK not-for-profit organisations, especially arts organisations working with children and young people, using the arts and creative media. Up to £20k. Will consider multi-year funding. Deadlines 27 Aug, and 29 Oct 21, and 7 Jan 22.
Youth Music Network	Non-profits, including schools, to fund developmental music making projects for disadvantaged young people as well as for projects that support the development of the workforce, organisations and the wider music making sector. Various funds: £2k up to £200k.

Arts Funding - Grants For Ethnic Minority Community Projects

Black Artists Grant (BAG)	No-strings attached financial support to help the selected artists in whatever they want – make new work, buy equipment or materials, travel, research, visit exhibitions or conferences, or to even just cover some life expenses. This is specifically for Black artists; not politically black, not POC or BAME.
Didymus	Up to £5k, income under £2m, UK registered charities, in the UK, Africa and Central and South America. Social inclusion, education, the arts, equality and diversity and religious understanding.
Said Foundation – Amal Grants Programme	Arts projects and activities, including storytelling, visual arts, theatre, poetry, film, music and dance. To increase understanding of Britain’s Muslim communities and foster a stronger sense of belonging in the UK among its Muslim communities.
Social History Society	Small grants for joint BME events and activities that promote BME history in the UK.
