Launched in 2018, Charity Excellence has 50,000 members and is growing at about 3,500 a month making us both the largest and the fastest growing UK charity community. In our user feedback, 60% of respondents rate us 10/10 for trustworthiness and our community supports over 10 million beneficiaries: that's about 15% of the UK population.
We think strategically but are tactically very agile and relentlessly focussed on delivering for charities. Our free ecosystem of digital and AI services coupled with our thought-leadership on the transformative application of technology has attracted new members and philanthropic corporate funders. Our aim is to help the whole sector address the huge challenges through systematic change in their access to and use of data. Our track record and ability to scale massively, rapidly and at low cost, makes that ambitious aim achievable. But there's huge need, so we must up our game.
We are now moving to engage corporate partners, promote greater sector collaboration and build partnerships to distribute ownership of the system across the sector. Creating not 1 but up to 100 Charity Excellence systems and onboarding senior partners who will help us shape and then deliver a bold exciting response to the sector’s challenges. Using AI to create a single hugely accessible gateway to the sector for everyone, and a UK wide charity data network to inform sector level decision making.
We are seeking to recruit ambassadors who will guide and support the founder in engaging and onboarding partners. You may come from any sector but will be a natural collaborator, and able to reach out and build relationships with the most senior people. Ideally, you’ll have your own network of senior contacts and may have a background in sales or business development, or PR and Media. Being within commuting distance to London would be a bonus but is not essential.
Your work might be ad hoc or on an ongoing basis and what and how much you do will depend on your experience, availability and what you might wish to do. However, it may involve support in developing marketing or similar materials, pitching to the Media, identifying and engaging potential partners and/or supporting the Founder in online/face-to-face meetings. If you were to become a trustee as well, that would involve 4 to 6 online meetings annually.
